Congratulations to Madeleine Marie Cockerham, a 2012 graduate from St. Joseph’s Academy, shown here with two of her most unique gifts. The two llamas, acting as mascots, were provided as a gift from Madeleine's sister, Angelle’ Cockerham Jeansonne, a Central High Alum from the class of 2001.

The red "sorority" shirts worn by these ladies symbolize the colors of both Madeleine's high school and future college, ULL. “Squirrel Llama Llama” is a sorority manifested by her sister, Jennifer Cockerham Richard, a Central High Alum from the class of 1999.

For many years Madeleine has had an affection for llamas, and her brother, Lyle Cockerham (Redemptorist High Alum, class of 2003), has called her “Squirrel” since birth. Thus the name "Squirrel Llama Llama." The family hosted a crawfish boil in her honor at the home of her parents, Jeannine and Tony Cockerham.
