CPS baseball coach Jason Kinchen was chosen to help coach the South team in the “MAIS” AA/AAA all Star Game that was held at the Smith Wills Stadium
In Jackson, Mississippi May 25th.  Along with coach Kinchen, Seth Stevens and Ryan Young were selected to play,  Ryan was unable to attend. The South won the  contest 8 to 6.
Stevens, a Nicholls State signee, was selected to the 2012 All State Team, which incorporates all divisions of the MAIS, as an infielder. Stevens was also named  the MAIS Division 6AA District CO-MVP with LSU signee Hunter Devall of Centerville Academy. Other CPS Rebels receiving honors were:
Ryan Young – 1st team All District and 2nd team all state infield
Hunter Wallace – 1st Team All District Outfield
Brad Miller – 1st team All District Infield
Brennan Fucich – 1st team All District Pitcher
Chase Martin – 1st team All District Pitcher
Ryan Bowman – 2nd team Catcher
Blake Chelette – 2nd team Pitcher.
Although Central Private will loose some key players that have played for Coach Kinchen a long time, they will be primed to have another fine season in 2013 with plenty of talent and pitching to carry on the winning tradition it has owned over the years.
