The C4 Report: School Is Out!

By  |

School is out for the summer!  It is that time of year when teachers are relieved, students are elated, and parents are quickly scrambling to fill up the next several weeks with activities!  With the great state scores that Central Community School System received, it is obvious that teachers and students worked hard this year and deserve a break!  However, parents all know the drill.  The kids can’t wait to get out of school and then two weeks into summer vacation we begin to hear, “I’m bored!”   Fortunately, many of the members of the Central Chamber of Commerce can help with that boredom.

Many of our members offer summer programs where kids can come spend the day and enjoy a variety of activities.  There are week long summer camps available that cover everything from sports, education, arts, and faith.  If your child likes the water, there are facilities that offer swimming lessons as well as recreational swimming.  Several of our area churches will be offering Vacation Bible School programs throughout the summer and most of these are open not only to church members, but to non-church members as well.  We also have members who offer special party gatherings, indoor activities, and games. And, as always, all of our stores and restaurants are open for a special day or evening of shopping, pampering and eating out.  All of our parks are open, the trees are green, the air is great, sport activities are in “full swing,” special farmers markets are being setup, and concerts are taking place.  There is a lot to do in Central!

Our Chamber Members are working hard to make Central a great place to live, shop, and play.  Within just a few miles of your home, you can find a way to break up the monotony of summer for you and your children.  Take a few days a week to get out and take advantage of what Central has to offer and thus support our area businesses and organizations.  If we can provide additional information please call our office.  Above all, have fun, take some time off, and enjoy the time with your kids!
