Local manager of the Central area Whitney Bank Stephen David, Jr. was recently promoted to vice president by the Hancock Holding Company board of directors. Thirty-three bank associates received the career milestone promotion in spring 2012 for their commitment to the organization’s core values, dedication to customers, and accomplishments.

David is the northeast area manager in Baton Rouge overseeing five branches with more than 35 employees. His commitment to helping his customers’ build their financial dreams and strong leadership skills are the foundation of his impressive rise in Hancock Holding Company.

After graduating from LSU, David went to work at the Sherwood Forest branch of Hancock Bank, where he earned a loyal client base and positioned himself as a leader and top sales producer. Management recognized David’s impressive work, and he earned several promotions, eventually earning the branch manger position at the Hooper Road Whitney Bank. David also graduated from the University of Mississippi Graduate School of Banking in spring 2011.

In five years working in Central, David has built relationships with community members and serves as the treasurer of the City of Central Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He also co-chairs the private sector of the Louisiana Development of Readiness Communities.

“I am honored to be recognized by colleagues and look forward to the future of Hancock Holding Company and the Central community,” David said.
