Summertime Blues Benefit Concert This Thursday Featuring Better Than Ezra

Ochsner/Better Than Ezra Announce Summertime Blues Concert

Baton Rouge, LA – Baton Rouge’s own Better Than Ezra has partnered with Ochsner Health System to kick off summer with a special concert on Thursday, May 24^th at the Varsity Theatre.  The Summertime Blues event will benefit the Ochsner Baton Rouge Cancer Center.  VIP tickets are available for an intimate acoustic session with the band including an open bar and food.  VIP tickets cost $125 per person and the party begins at 6:30 pm.  General admission tickets are also available for $40 per person.  General admission begins at 8:00 pm.

Ochsner Baton Rouge’s Cancer Center will be located on the campus of Ochsner Medical Center – Baton Rouge at I-12 and O’Neal Lane.  The center will provide a range of cancer-related services by a team of collaborating physicians, nurses and staff working together for each patient.  “We want to make cancer care easily accessible for people living in the eastern portion of East Baton Rouge Parish as well as the City of Central and Livingston Parish,” says Jay Brooks, MD – Ochsner Baton Rouge Hematology/Oncology Department Chairman.  The Cancer Center is expected to open in 2013.
