Eat at The Jambalaya Shoppe Monday Nights to Support CCAF
The Jambalaya Shoppe in Central is donating 15% of all proceeds during Monday night’s “From Me and My House” program to the CENTRAL COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE FOUNDATION (CCAF). “From Me and My House” is one of 5 weeknight shows that comprise THE CENTRAL STORY (Monday—Friday, 5:30pm—6:30pm on WPFC, 1550AM, Baton Rouge….Central Now App….and on the web at JonFineProductions.com). Monday night’s “From Me and My House” program is hosted by Steve Johnson and focuses on the 33 churches of Central. This program is broadcast every Monday night from the Jambalaya Shoppe in Central.
CCAF exists to assist Central community students and their families with support and services to build, strengthen, and sustain community life. CCAF is a non-profit organization created to solicit and receive funds/ resources for the purpose of assisting students and their families who live in the City of Central or within the geographical area of the Central Community School System and are in transition due to economic hardship and/or crisis. CCAF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation registered with the Louisiana Secretary of State's Office; administered by a nine member Board of Directors, governed by Articles of Incorporation, By-Laws and Rules of Order.
CCAF spokesperson Ronnie Devall was elated. “I think this is a wonderful opportunity for us to generate much needed funding for CCAF. We appreciate The Jambalaya Shoppe’s generous offer and look forward to a lot of people coming out to The Jambalaya Shoppe on Monday nights, enjoying some great jambalaya and helping (CCAF)”. Devall is the former principal of Central HS.
THE CENTRAL STORY producer Jon Fine was ecstatic, “We’re delighted to be involved with this promotion. CCAF is such a terrific, giving organization. To think that we can assist CCAF and also bring people out to a great sponsor, The Jambalaya Shoppe, makes it even better.”
