Central Bloomers Garden Club: Helping Central Grow

The Central Bloomers Garden Club meeting was held on February 28 at the home of Pam Wilson. The meeting began with a tour of Pam’s lovely garden. The speaker of the evening was Mary Johnson, local gardening expert, who gave an informative lecture on ferns and other shade plants for our area. The Beautification Committee will be “on the look out” for those businesses in Central with outstanding landscaping for the Jackie Brewer Memorial Award – Get Planting. Refreshments were provided by Jo Ann Fridge, Ollie Brown and Dorothy Vidrine. The Central Bloomers Garden Club looks forward to a wonderful year in helping Central grow.
