Video Game Review: Professor Layton and the Unwound Future
By middle school student Angel Couvillion
Professor Layton and the Unwound Future is the third game in the Professor Layton Series trilogy. In this game Professor Layton, Luke Triton, Flora, and inspector Chelmey will go to the future, via time machine, and help future Luke stop future Layton from destroying London. Professor Layton’s girlfriend and the truth behind Don Paolo’s past are in the game also. This game is better than the games that were previously released and most fans will agree. Unwound Future has magnificent graphics and wonderful plotlines. One of the best plotlines is about Professor Layton’s girlfriend's sudden death, which is linked to the actions of both of Unwound Future’s villains. The cut scenes are realistic and funny. This game has complex puzzles that will try to trick or confuse the player’s mind. In this game, two other characters beside Layton and Luke can solve puzzles. There are hours of fun during and after the game, and after the game is finished there are extra puzzles, mini games, and other fun things to enjoy. Unwound Future is loved and enjoyed by all ages, especially teenagers. Tomohito Nishiura and Ann Sally did a great job of making spectacular music that fit the game. The game gets a 9 and 8.5 out of 10.
