The Central Rotary Club held its annual “Feed Your Neighbor” Thanksgiving Dinner food drive last week.  With much help from the students of Tanglewood Elementary School, they were able to provide turkey dinners for 37 families in the Central community.

The children from Tanglewood Elementary collected all of the non-perishable food items (peas, corn, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, etc), while the Rotary Club members were able to collect the turkeys with assistance from Oak Point, Wal-Mart, and Winn Dixie.

Rotary members partnered with Immanuel Baptist Church for the assembly and distribution of the food baskets for those less fortunate.  While gathering and delivering all of the items necessary in providing Thanksgiving Dinner for so many families can be quite an undertaking, the Rotary thanks everyone that helped to make this most worthy endeavor almost an effortless exercise.
