Fatality on Denham Road

East Baton Rouge Sheriff's deputies responded to an accident at approximately 2:35 Tuesday afternoon, November 22, in which a vehicle traveling eastbound left the roadway and hit a utility pole in the 13000 block of Denham Road between Joor and Devall.
According to reports the driver of the vehicle, 16-year-old Tyler Kyzar of 25041 Old Greenwell Springs Road, was transported to the hospital in critical condition. After undergoing surgery he died this evening as a result of his injuries. There was no one else in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Deputies believe poor weather conditions contributed to the accident.
