Stan and Marina Appling Celebrate their First Year Together

On Nov. 7, 2010, Marina Chiricoi of Moldova was given by her father Boris Chiricoi to Stan Appling of Central, LA to be wed at Berean Ministries.  Pastor Kenny Kepper conducted the ceremonies and Irina Johnson translated the wedding vows into Russian-Marina’s native language.  Stan had met Marina while doing Christian missionary work in Russian speaking countries.  Stan’s brother Jonathan Appling was the best man, and his sister Kellyanne Mallett was the matron of honor.   Stan’s niece Lauren Mallett sang and played the piano. Patty Appling, Stan’s mother, was the honored guest.  The reception was also held at Berean Ministries with a lavender colored cake and the groom’s cake theme of a knight and princess.  People who knew Stan and Marina were given a chance to speak their best wishes for and memories of the couple.  Marina’s former pastor Nikolai Tanasov spoke fond memories of Marina’s life, and gave good advice for the couple and Stan translated from Russian to English.  Overall, it was a wonderful cultural experience for all who attended.  Stan and Marina remember this beautiful event on their first anniversary and want to share with all.
