Monday, November 14th:

Congestive Heart Failure Education Program

Lane Regional Medical Center will hold a FREE education and support program for congestive heart failure patients and their caregivers.  Learn more about what you can do to manage the challenges of living with congestive heart failure. 

10 a.m. – 12 noon

Lane RMC Staff Development Classroom

Registration is required and seating is limited.  Free lunch will be provided.  Call 654-LANE (5263) to register.

 

 

Tuesday, November 15th:

"Ask the Doctor" (Orthopaedist)

Anyone who has experienced pain in their knees knows how quickly they can become incapacitated.   Dr. Adam Whatley, an orthopaedic surgeon with the Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic, will address arthritis associated with knee pain and other orthopaedic concerns during a FREE “Ask the Doctor” Lunch and Learn session.

11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Tuesday, November 22nd:

Safe Sitter® Babysitter Training

Safe Sitter® is a high-quality program that gives young adolescents the skills to be safe, nurturing babysitters.  The program is offered to girls and boys ages 11-13.  Participants learn the fundamentals of quality child care, how to handle crises, how to nurture and guide a young child, and how to keep children safe and sound while their parents are away. 

8:30 a.m – 3:30 p.m.

Class size is limited and registration is required.  Cost is $20. For more information or to pre-register, call 654-LANE (5263).

 

 

Tuesday, November 29th:

“Ask the Doctor” (OB/Gyn)

Many women experience heavy menstrual bleeding at some point in their lives. But for one in four women, every cycle is heavy—and that’s not normal.  Dr. Joshua Best, an OB/Gyn with Bayou Regional Women’s Clinic, will discuss medical and surgical treatment options for heavy bleeding and other gynecologic issues during the “Ask the Doctor” Lunch and Learn session.

11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
