Cody Aucoin, “Living for Something”
By Dave Freneaux
Cody Aucoin, 21 pounds in 30 days and dropping fast. It all started out on the sidelines of Wildcat Stadium. Cody Aucoin, shooting sideline film of the Wildcats in action, stood next to Sid Edwards. The play, the players, and the pass all converged at Cody's feet. Cody went for the overthrown pass and dodged the players crashing onto the place he had stood a second prior. Coach Sid looked at Cody and said "Man, you are quick!" At that moment. Alison Porche, watching the play from high in the bleachers, saw the action and Sid talking to Cody. The “Dream Team” was born. For over a month now Cody's new trainer, Alison Porche N.D., and his new coach, Sid Edwards, have provided diet, exercise, and motivation for him.
I stood to Sid's right as Cody dodged the players on Sid's left that night. The story writes itself. I asked Cody why he has decided to take his journey to better health and fitness. He said simply "I'm doing it for me." One of Cody's favorite quotes is by John Rambo. "Live for nothing, or die for something." Cody seems to have taken a detour and has decided to "Live for something." Dedicated to getting fit, Cody has set goals and is working hard. Look for updates from Cody and the Dream Team in Central Speaks, and best of luck to Cody.
