CHS Choir Looks Toward a Great Year

    From Dated and Decayed to Amazing, the CHS Choir Room has been completely renovated.  New paint, new carpet, new sound proofing, new practice rooms.  Mrs. Turner is looking forward to the delivery of her brand new risers, as well.  “We also have brand new keyboards for the Piano Classes,” she stated with enthusiasm, “Students do not need a piano at home to be able to learn to play.  We are also offering a Piano 2 Class this year, which will be available for Grades 10 and up.” 

    This year the CHS Choir Program will offer Beginning Choir, which requires no previous music experience.  This is a great way to build vocal skills and is open to grades 9-12.  The Concert Choir does lots of performing.  You do not have to know how to read music to be a part.  If you are interested in joining the Concert Choir, see Mrs. Turner.  Guys especially are encouraged to join!  The Concert Choir will be having a Fall Retreat in October to kick off the Christmas music for their Winter Concert.  There will also be a Fall Concert on October 6, which will feature American music including selections from “O Brother Where Art Thou?”  In the Spring, a joint road trip with the Band is being planned.  Trips in the past have included places like Disney World.  It’s a great time to be involved in Music!
