School Zones in Effect Next Week

    Reminder:  School zones will go into effect next week for the start of the new school year.  Remember to slow down and obey the posted school zone speed limits.   School zones in Central will only be for one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoons depending upon the starting and ending times of the various schools.   Central public schools start next Wednesday, August 10.

     For those of you who travel the intersection of Hooper and Sullivan on your morning commute, you are probably familiar with the traffic backups at this intersection on the first day of school each year due to all of the carpool traffic at Central Middle School.   You may want to plan on leaving earlier that morning to allow yourself plenty of time to get through that intersection.   The traffic signal at that intersection will be manually controlled in the morning on the first day of school to help move traffic through the intersection.
