Two Free Presentations This Thursday at Local Libraries

There are two items that may be of interest to adults this Thursday.  First, there will be a presentation at the Central Branch Library called "Take a 'Staycation.'"  This will showcase our Louisiana State Parks and historic sites and explain what the destinations have to offer.  Some of the newer facilities such as Bogue Chitto and Palmetto Island, as well as Forts Randolph-Buhlow will be highlighted.  Pamphlets covering all sites across the state along with fee information will be provided.  The presentation begins at 2:00 PM.  Call 262-2640 for more information.

From 6:00 to 7:30 PM Thursday, the Greenwell Springs Road Library will host a seminar called "Purchasing and Investing in HUD Properties."  Local real estate broker Newton Thompson will present a homebuyers training seminar that is designed to give interested homebuyers and investors an understanding of HUD properties and the process for purchasing them.  For more information, call 274-4450.
