Local Author Featured at Alzheimer’s Services Luncheon
Local author Judy Garwood was featured at the Alzheimer's Services 2011 "Memories in the Making" Luncheon. All guests received a special bookmark with her poem "Mama, I'm Here". This was held at the Marriott Hotel and is the Alzheimer Services' number one fundraising event. Judy was also the Alzheimers Author at the 2011 Alzheimer's Association Literary Luncheon held at the Poydras Home in New Orleans. Buddy Stall was Master of Ceremonies. On May 17, Judy was interviewed on the "Wake Up Baton Rouge" morning show on the Catholic Radio Station, 1380 am, with a call in for questions on Alzheimer's and Dementia. Judy has written a book called "Mama, I'm Here" based on her experiences with her mother's Alzheimer's.
