In Memoriam: Rev. Brady Brock Forman
Rev. Brady Brock Forman, a retired Methodist minister, died Monday, April 4, 2011 at his home in Central. He was 84 years old.
He was a US Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Louisiana Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. He served 40+ years as a minister throughout Louisiana. His service included Organizing Pastor of Memorial United Methodist Church in Bastrop and Director of the Wesley Foundation at Southeastern Louisiana University.
Visiting will be at Blackwater United Methodist Church, on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 6pm until 9pm with a 7pm Masonic service and continues at the church on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 10am until religious service at 11am conducted by Rev. Marie Williams, Rev. John Williams and Rev. Linda Hagan. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carol Carpenter Forman. He has 3 daughters and sons in law: Rebecca Forman Coxe and husband, Dan Whittenburg; Central; Rhonda Forman Rouyer and husband Eddie; Mandeville and Ginger Forman Hughes and husband Dale; Zachary. He is also survived by a son and daughter in law, Stephen Forman and wife, Terri; Zachary and 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Brady and Florence Treen Forman; a brother and sister in law, Wesley and Vickie Long Forman and a sister, Evelyn Forman Freneaux.
His son and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
He earned his BS from Centenary College where he sang in the Choir.
He attended LSU and played in the the Tiger Band. He earned his BD and MDiv from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He was a member of Central Lodge #442.
