Submitted by Coach Palubinskas
The CPS boys basketball Rebel-ution continues to rumble by winning the annual year-end tournament at Brookhaven Academy. CPS won over East Rankin 84-68 in the initial game with balanced scoring from the Rebels. In the second game against Trinity Episcopal of Natchez, the Rebels shot uncharacteristically poorly, but the resilient Rebs fought back and finally won in double overtime, 69-68. In the championship game, the Rebels took an early lead and finished with a score of 74-53 after clearing the bench in the 4th quarter. CPS enters district play with a 16-2 record that includes 2 tournament championships.
