Large Crowd on Hand for 2010 Meet the Wildcats

The gym at Central High was filled to capacity for Meet the Wildcats last Thursday.  Coach Steve Johnson emceed the annual event that introduces the 2010 football team as well as all the other sports teams, coaches, band, cheerleaders, flag core, and kittens.  All of this year’s teams appeared to be strong in number, particularly the freshman football team which is boasting 68 members and is rumored to be laden with talent and size.

Head football coach Doug Dotson introduced the seniors on this year’s squad and his coaching staff, including new offensive coordinator David Simoneaux.  Backer’s president Gerry Edgens, thanked the crowd for their support and made the attendants aware that Backers memberships are available for $150 which includes 2 passes to every Central home game of any sport excluding playoffs.  Gerry also informed the fans the Backers $10,000 raffle tickets are on sale for $100 each and the drawing will be October 8^th at half time of the Central vs. Denham home game.
