Greenwell Springs Library to Host Diabetes Seminar

The Greenwell Springs Road Regional Branch Library, 11300 Greenwell Springs Road, will host a Diabetes Education Empowerment Program through the Medicare Quality Improvement Office for Louisiana focusing on the elderly.
The program, which will begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 22, helps identify patient needs, barriers and current levels of diabetes
self-management. Aspects of the program benefitting the patient include better self-management skills, improved glycemic control and coping skills and tips. Lunch will be provided and door prizes will be given away. Registration to attend is required.
