Weekly Sports Update
Congratulations to the following Central High students who were named to the First-Team All District Bowling Team: Kay Rawls, Robert Kelly, Amy Coward, and Tony P.
The Central High golf team came in 2nd in their Thursday match at City Park.
CHS Tennis: Both the girls' team and boys' team lost 3-2 this week. There were several athletes who won their matches, including Dylan Boudreaux, Chris Cooke, Tylar Watts, Anna Sommers, and Morgan Kennedy.
The Central High baseball team got off to a rough start this week, losing to St. Charles Catholic on Monday and to St. Michael's on Wednesday by scores of 6-7 and 3-13, respectively. However, the Widcats came back very strong with an IMPRESSIVE WIN over Episcopal 15-5 on Thursday. You can catch the Wildcats on Saturday at 12:30 at Scotlandville for their first district game of the season. Next week, the Wildcats play at home vs. Catholic on Tuesday @ 4 PM and at Denham Springs on Thursday @ 6:30 PM.
Central Private Baseball had a good week, winning a DOUBLEHEADER on Wednesday after a 4-1 VICTORY over Clinton on Monday. The Rebels now have a record of 14-6. CP plays again at Bowling Green on Friday.
CHS softball grabbed a solid win on Tuesday against St. Joseph's, 3-0.
