CHS Update from the PTO

The Central High School PTO has put together the following update to share with the community:

PTO SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE MONDAY, MARCH 1st.
 
The deadline for submitting your application for the $500 PTO scholarship (4-awarded annually) is Monday, March 1st.  The application must be turned into the guidance office, to the attention of the PTO, in order to be considered for the award.  Do not delay.  There will be no extensions and all applications submitted after the deadline will be disqualified.  Go to www.CHSPTO.org to get application.

“Belles et Beaux Pageant will be rescheduled”
 
–“Due to the snow day and holiday week, the Belles et Beaux Pageant originally set for February 24, 2010 will be rescheduled. An exact date has not been selected yet but will be announced when school starts back next week. This will allow more time for all candidates to submit required paperwork; entry fees; music; etc. Ms. Dykes is currently working on getting tuxedos donated for the boys. If any local business is interested in making any donations, please send an email to: [email protected].”

DECA T-shirts and Hoodies
DECA students are selling t-shirts for $12 during all lunch shifts to support St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital. There are two color/design choices. DECA students are also selling black hooded sweatshirts for $20 to raise money for the Orlando conference. Please see Ms. Dykes in room N214 for details and/or ordering.
CHS Earns Accreditation

An accreditation team from Advanc-Ed visited CHS on February 2nd and 3rd. After the team’s visit, the team leader announced that CHS earned accrediation ” at the highest level.” CHS faculty and staff would like to thank our students, our parents, and our community for assisting us through this process!
