Weekly Schools Update

There is a CCSS School Board meeting scheduled for this Thursday, January 28 at 6 PM in the Central High School theatre. The meeting will address the continued planning of the new schools for Central.

As of Monday, February 1, two Central schools will have different hours. Tanglewood Elementary will begin at 8:05 AM and end at 3:15 PM. Central Intermediate will begin at 8 :15 AM and end at 3:15 PM.

The high school band All-Parish concert is this Saturday, January 30. Jazz band All-Parish auditions are Wednesday, February 3 at Tara High. Contact Central High School for more information.

Central High School has updated its SCHOLARSHIP PAGE with new scholarships and information for high school seniors.

Bellingrath Hills Elementary has started an attendance incentive program for students. Students with perfect attendance each quarter are entered in a drawing to win a prize and are presented with attendance certificates. Classrooms with the highest attendance percentage also get attendance parties. Austin Hellman, who had perfect attendance this past quarter, won a Nintendo Wii this month in the attendance drawing. This past quarter ended with 96 Bellingrath students having perfect attendance.

Today is early dismissal for CCSS students. Check with individual schools for end times.
