CHS Choir Performs at LSU
On November 1, the Central High School Concert Choir travelled to LSU to sing the national anthem for the LSU vs. Auburn volleyball game, held in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. In order to be selected for this honor, the choir first had to give a live audition at LSU in late August; they were chosen from a large group of applicants. Having been selected, they followed through by doing a great job performing the a cappella, 4-part arrangement of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the game. After performing they enjoyed lunch from the concession stand and cheered the LSU Lady Tigers on to victory. Choir members finished up their trip admiring Mike the Tiger VI in his new tiger habitat just outside the P-MAC after the game.
