CMS Clobbers Baker Buffaloes
The Central Middle Wildcat football team rolled over the Baker Middle Buffs
on Tuesday night 40-12 in Wildcat Stadium. It was the last home game of
the season for the young Wildcats, and they gave the home crowd a lot to
cheer for. The Cats put the first points up on the board for the night
when they rushed for a touchdown after the Baker Buffaloes turned the ball
over on downs after the opening kickoff. The Baker defensive line featured
some very big young men, but the Wildcat offensive line, as they have done
all season long, did their job by opening some big holes and performing
excellent pass blocking. The quarterback for the Wildcats, Jake Myers,
rushed for 3 touchdowns and threw for two more in the game. This win over
the Buffaloes ensures the Central Middle Wildcat football team a spot in
the Championship that will be played on October 24. The Wildcats do have
two remaining regular-season games left on their schedule. They face
Zachary next in an away game next Tuesday, October 13 at 6:00pm.
