The Central Chamber Report: Krewe De Centrale’ Celebrates 10 Years!

By  |

The Christmas season is still in full swing but we are quickly moving towards the end of 2015 and the start of 2016!  The major holiday events for the Central Chamber are over and we now turn our attention to the Krewe De Centrale’ Mardi Gras Ball!  In 2015 we celebrated 10 years of the Central Chamber’s service and in 2016 we will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Krewe De Centrale’ Mardi Gras Ball!
Mardi Gras comes very early this year with Fat Tuesday falling on February 9th.  Therefore, the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Krewe De Centrale’ Mardi Gras Ball will take place on Saturday, January 16th.  We are excited to announce that the ball will be held at the St. Alphonsus Family Life Center and will feature the music of David St. Romain and band.  Our special theme for this 10 year anniversary celebration will be “Louisiana Saturday Night”.  The Krewe De Centrale’ Mardi Gras Ball committee always does a marvelous job decorating the Family Life Center in a fashion fitting for such a special occasion.  Tickets are already available at the chamber office and would make a unique Christmas gift.
As I mention Christmas Gifts, please remember to shop Central this Christmas!  The Shop Small Business Campaign has wrapped up but still continue to shop local!
Last week, in the Christmas Events wrap up article, I failed to mention the Parade winners.  Congratulations go out to: 1st place winner – Central Early Learning Center with "Polar Express," 2nd place winner – The Rubber House of Baton Rouge with "Candyland," 3rd place winner – Keller Williams Realty with "Polar Express," and best performance group – LA Twirlers.  Thanks, once again, to these parade winners and all the parade participants that helped to make the event a great success!
We will not have a Central Chamber Report for the next two weeks.  So, until 2016, we at the Central Chamber of Commerce wish everyone in our community a very Merry Christmas!
