Art Scholarship Opportunity for High School Seniors
The Louisiana Education Loan Authority (Lela) seeks artwork for its 2014 Holiday Art Scholarship Contest “The Holidays – Louisiana Style.” This contest is open to all Louisiana high school seniors in the Class of 2015. The winning design may be featured on Lela’s 2014 Holiday Greeting Card.
Six designs will be selected by independent third party art and graphic professionals, with the following prizes awarded:
First Place ($2,000)
Second Place ($1,500)
Third Place ($1,000)
Honorable Mention ($500)
Honorable Mention ($500)
Honorable Mention ($500)
Contest Rules and Regulations are below. The DEADLINE to submit entries will be November 1, 2014. Entries postmarked after the deadline will not be accepted.
2014 Holiday Art Scholarship Contest Rules & Regulations
1. Participants will be limited to one entry.
2. Participants must be classified as a Louisiana high school senior and a member of the Class of 2015.
3. All entries must be postmarked on or before November 1, 2014.
4. Winners will be selected and notified by telephone and/or email, and the results will be posted on our website (www.asklela.org) and our Facebook page
(www.Facebook.com/askLela).
5. Scholarship awards will be deposited directly into the winner’s student account at the college or university in which the student enrolls during the Fall of 2015.
6. Any type of original artwork will be accepted. Art may be pen, pencil, water color, crayon, charcoal, marker, black and white or color photograph, or computer
generated design. Clip art graphics will not be accepted.
7. Original artwork should be submitted as a design no larger than 8.5” x 11”. Graphic design entries ONLY should be sent as a pdf or jpg attachment and emailed to

8. Contestants must submit their original artwork accompanied by a completed entry form found on page 3 at http://www.lela.org/documents/
9. All artwork should be based on the theme: “The Holidays – Louisiana Style!”
10. Artwork will be judged on participant’s use of the theme, creativity, quality of the design, and adherence to the rules.
11. Lela reserves the right to use a version of the original artwork.
12. All artwork becomes the property of Lela and will not be returned.
13. All original artwork accompanied by the completed Entry Form should be mailed to:
