Central Chamber of Commerce C4 Report: Central Chamber and BRCC Host Educational Workforce Summit

By  |

c4c B    A goal of the Central Chamber is to not only continue to providing network opportunities for our members but to also begin to address other issues important to the success of businesses in our area.  Thanks to the help of BRCC, on Wednesday, March 26th we were able to take a step in accomplishing this goal by hosting an Educational Workforce Development Summit.
To ensure a vibrant future economy, we must change the way we approach education by involving new stakeholders: our area employers.  Business leaders, educators and governmental representatives all met together at the Central Community School System’s conference room to discuss necessary programs that need to be put in place in order to aid in the development of a strong and viable future workforce.  Several ideas were generated and we look forward to collaborative efforts with others throughout our community so we can take significant steps to ensure a qualified future workforce. Special thanks to CCSS for the use of their facility and to Vice Chancellor Mouton and her staff from BRCC for conducting this event!
