Landon Breckwoldt Awarded Eagle Scout Rank

Eagle Scout b    Landon Breckwoldt was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in the Boy Scouts, at a ceremony on March 10, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Baton Rouge, La. He is a member of Troop 169 of the Istrouma Area Council, Tunica District, where Trinity Lutheran Church is the charter organization. Landon began his Scouting career in the Cub Scouts and earned the Cub Scouts highest honor, the “Arrow of Light”, before he crossed over into the Boy Scouts. While in Troop 169, Landon has attended summer camps at Camp Skymont in Tennessee, Camp Powhatan in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, and Camp Orr in Arkansas. He earned a total of 23 merit badges and is now working on getting his Eagle Palms.  Landon’s Eagle project was a renovation of the elementary schools swing set area at Victory Christian Academy. This project involved over 140 man hours donated from Landon and members of Troop 169. Landon is a freshman at Central High School and was on the freshman football and basketball teams this year. He is also a member of Zoar Baptist Church in Central. He is currently planning a trip for 2015 to the BSA’s Sea Base in Key West, Florida, where he will become S.C.U.B.A. certified. We congratulate Landon in attaining the highest award given to a Boy Scout. We are proud of his accomplishments and look forward to his future endeavors as he continues down his path as a citizen and leader.
