Central Feeding Central: In memory of Dennis Lewis
The Lewis family would like to thank the following Central businesses for allowing us to place collection containers in their places of business to collect food and money for the Central Food Bank. We would also like to thank Central Speaks for the article and the ads they ran to help get the word out and Sullivan’s Hardware for donating two collection containers. We would also like to thank Mr. & Mrs. Merlin Smith of Central who donated 6 fully cooked meals and Mr. & Mrs. Gavin Verzwyvelt of Denham Springs for the complete fixings for a meal.
A tremendous amount of food was donated and monitory donations are still coming in. But most of all we would like to thank the residents of Central who made this project a tremendous success. The Central Food Bank provides groceries to many needy families in the Central community throughout the year not just during the holidays. It is our hope that this food drive has made our community aware of our food bank and continues to support it all year long.
