What is on the Ballot May 2nd?

On Saturday, May 2, the community of Central will vote on three school propositions that could determine the future of our community school system’s progress. Please take time to become an informed voter.

 

What’s on the ballot?

• Proposition No. 1 – a ½-cent sales and use tax dedicated to pay for the construction of a new Central Middle School and to acquire property for expansion needs of the school system.

 

• Proposition No. 2 – a 20-year, 9.25-mill tax dedicated to pay for renovations that address life safety code issues at the school system’s existing schools.

 

• Proposition No. 3 – a 20-year, 14.4-mill tax dedicated to pay for the construction, furnishing and equipping of a new elementary school and, if necessary, the acquisition of land for the new school; and to pay for improvements to school facilities and equipment.
